Where is my data stored?
On your device, and only there. Cooklendar has no accounts and no servers, so your recipes, meal plan, shopping list, pantry, photos and nutrition log never leave your phone.
How do I back up or move my recipes?
Open Settings and choose “Export my data” to save everything as a JSON file through the iOS share sheet. Because nothing is stored on our servers, this export is the only backup — deleting the app removes the only copy of your data.
How do I delete everything?
Settings has a permanent “Erase all data” action. Deleting the app from your device also removes its data.
Why does the app ask for the camera or photo library?
The camera is used to photograph a meal you are logging or to take a recipe cover photo. Photo library access is used only when you pick an existing image for a recipe or your profile picture. Both are optional, and the images stay on your device.
Are the calorie and macro numbers accurate?
They are estimates — either the figures bundled with a starter recipe or the ones you enter yourself. Treat them as general guidance rather than medical or dietary advice.
